Poems from Luke Dominick
"I Think..."
I think creativity should be
Something we’re not afraid of
I think we should hide from
The thing under the bed
And run from...
I revel in the gloom:
Bright choosing to be dim
Light barely reaching shelves
Hiding pulp and leather
Those curiosities
of old man Father...
Long live my Father
Who is the wisdom in life's eye
Who upon his shoulders rest
Who is never willing to die
Long live my Father...
Your striking blue eyes
Pierce anyone that dares
stray near your territory
Your gay, uncaring smile
That is not only contagious
but gets...
I've witnessed your suffering
Your deep pain unparalleled
Open yourself Love's flower
only to wither and die
I've heard your secrets...
